Included this week:

  • Hints about unlocking HK-51: “going to take a serious amount of work, involves a galaxy-wide mission, introduces some different ways of playing the game and most people will need to have a 50 of one faction and at least a mid-level character from the other faction.”
  • LFG tool will only allow you to queue for Flashpoints within a certain level range at the feature’s launch. ” We did not want to penalize some players by matching them with players far above their level. In addition, we want players to feel that they are contributing to content and not being carried through by higher level players.” May easily look to implement less restrictions after initial release.
  • Will be talking about the suggestion of displaying player’s win/loss stats upon inspection as Ranked Warzones approach.
  • Threat breakdown: “Threat is equal to damage inflicted at a “one damage equals one threat” ratio. Passive threat modifiers then adjust that amount by a percentage, while active threat dumps adjust current threat levels by a percentage. I wouldn’t suggest using your basic attack to try and generate high threat.”
  • Have no plans to implement any “smart” AoE Heals anytime soon (heals that would target player with least health nearby)
  • “Game Update 1.3 introduces a new system to regulate the stacking of buffs and debuffs, such that only the highest of any same-effect applies.”
  • Short explanation of how late-game stats are split on gear and mods at the moment -  “Power, Defense, Crit, and Absorb in one, and Accuracy, Alacrity, Surge, and Shield in the other”
  • Can’t release anything yet on what changes will be made for endgame content when the level-cap is raised.

Summary this week:

  • Group finder is designed for groups of 2 or 3 players to fill missing spots as well as finding groups solo. Can also use it to replace a player midway through a run if one drops.
  • No plans to implement PvP Social point rewards at this time, (like they are doing with HM Ops/FPs) but may evaluate the need for it in the future.
  • Clarifying: “Pre-made team” in regards to Ranked Warzones means any full 8-man operation. It does not need to be the same 8 players queueing together each time. Team rankings are generated by looking at all the individual rankings on that specific team.
  • A breakdown of how Presence specifically affects companions’ stats and how it balances as you level.
  • A breakdown of how Legacy item drops work
  • Armormech, Synthweaving, & Armstech will all be able to craft Augment Kits. The kits are the same regardless of Crew Skill.
  • Clarifying: Efficiency bonuses for companions affect the time it takes for them to complete crew skills. All efficiency increases as you increase their affection, but some have innate bonuses too. It is possible to get up to 15% efficiency bonus when you are at max affection.

Highlights:

  • Adaptable social gear that changes to light/medium/heavy based on your armor type coming in patch 1.3.
  • “Unify colors” for companions in the works.
  • New playable species coming out this year.
  • Character transfers in early summer. These will be free to/from specific servers in the beginning as a way to address low population servers.
  • Possible work on having companions show in operations frames.

If you read up on the Guild Summit panels or watched their videos, much of this may be review, but, some highlights:

  • Clarification on unlockable class legacy abilities: Each class has one iconic ability that can be unlocked for your entire Legacy when you get that class to 50, which means every character on your chosen server. This ability is only available for use during the Heroic Moment ability.
  • All species have an alternate unlocking method (aside from reaching lvl 50) that requires a minimum Legacy Level and credits, making them all purchasable.
  • Reaching lvl 50 as a human results in a presence boost for all Legacy characters, making companions more powerful.
  • Legacy Rocket/Speed boost will not be available in warzones.
  • Increasing companion affection with ship droid will result in crafting bonuses but no other Legacy rewards
  • Maximizing your first companion character of any of the five companion character types provides a bonus that applies to all Legacy characters.
  • The Neutral Legacy reward will not be coming in Game Update 1.2 - will appear with a full grey alignment package in a later game update.
  • 100% committed to providing more character slots in the future, but no ETA or info on how it will work at this moment
  • New Corellia dailies will give Daily Commendations and Black Hole Commendations
  • Crit-crafted end game gear with augments are required for the highest possible stats, but augmented gear is not required for any existing content. Having it will put you ahead of the curve.
  • An in-depth explanation of how end-game gearing, adding/removing mods between end-game and orange gear, reverse engineering high end gear for schematics, etc - suggest clicking the link and reading the detailed explanation if you’re interested!

  • Show/Hide hood options for force users - not in 1.2,but next major update after
  • Show/Hide companion headgear - again, not in 1.2 but in the works

  • Devs are working to make 16-mans scale better in difficulty with 8-mans
